Our practice of the system Yoga in Daily Life presents the essence of Yoga; the simple, practical & age-old techniques that balance body, mind and soul.

Usual routine of the class:
At the commencement of each class we begin with a short relaxation, winding down after the day and into the practice, bringing with us an awareness of the body and breath. Following this is a range of postures according to your level, moving each part of the muscular and skeletal system. The postures (asanas) also influence the organs and glands, and so improve your overall health and wellbeing along with the way you feel. A short relaxation completes the physical element of the class. 

After the relaxation in advanced classees we continue with meditation and pranayama (breath techniques) and complete the practice by chanting OM. 

 khatu-pranam-8The universal sound OM (pronounced a-u-m) is believed to fill the entire cosmos. Through chanting and meditation you experience peace and purification of energy in body, mind and soul. The sound of OM integrates all the subtle elements of nature within oneself and awakens peace in the consciousness. 

 

Thus completes the Yoga in Daily Life class.
